About Chrissy

Chrissy Munder writes contemporary LGBTQ+ romance filled with everyday people and extraordinary passion to transport readers into their personal world of love, laughter, and desire

She is an avid reader, a wanderer of Michigan’s wilderness, and, while not in any particular order, a lover of lists, legally blind, and a certified crazy cat lady. There are those who might tell you she started writing LGBTQ romance as a way to justify her office supply addiction, but shhhhh! don’t listen to them.

After too many jobs in too many states she’s eagerly awaiting the chance to become a full-time Lake Michigan beachcomber. Until then, she’s excited to share her love of romance, laughter, and happy-ever-afters.

That’s the official version. How about the answers to a few of the more common FAQ’s in my email?

1. How come you’ve had so few releases in the last several years?

I first published in 2007. Not so coincidentally that’s also when I learned I was losing my vision. Fast forward nine years and a ridiculous cycle of surgeries and recoveries and my fingers are crossed things are finally stable enough for me to try and resurrect my writing career.

Switching from a visual writing process to an auditory one hasn’t been the easiest. I’d love to hear from anyone else with a visual challenge who has worked their way through this transition.

2. Why can’t I find you on social media anymore?

Aww, I’ve missed you too. Please see above. Honestly, I’ve spent the last couple of years learning the best way to get around the house, the grocery store, and how the heck to edit that long, garbled batch of first draft dictation when I can’t print it out and mark it up with a red marker.

Yeah, I’m still struggling with that last one.

But I am gradually dipping my toes back into online waters. For right now you can tentatively find me most often @ChrissyMunderAuthor on Instagram as it’s the most forgiving platform. New Blog posts will appear on Tuesday, if I’m blogging [please, forgive me any and all formatting issues during my re-learning curve], and Facebook is definitely hit or miss. Sorry, but FB’s Messenger doesn’t seem to play nice with my accessibility software so I’m pretty much out of any message loop there.

Remember you can always email me – chrissymunder@yahoo.com

3. How do I get my hands on one of your older/no longer in print stories?

Hard to believe I’ve been published that long, isn’t it? Rights revision is a cool thing. The chance to go in and rework a piece is so very tempting to an author. I do have plans to release newer versions of several out of  print works, but new fiction is higher on the schedule. We’ll get there.

 4. Where is the sequel to Fair Winds?

Poor Rudy and Ike. They’ve waited a long time. All I can say is they are on my master story plan.
